If you’ve ever read my writing before, you probably know that I’m a crazy dog lover. I write about dogs for a living, I do a lot of volunteer work with animals, and pets are the one topic I can use to successfully hold a conversation with a stranger. However, this blog sort of goes against that. I decided to create “Walk into the Sunshine” as a way for me to produce non-dog content.
I will be using this blog to cover a wide variety of topics that extend beyond my love for dogs. Sure, there will still be mention of dogs because that’s such a big part of my life, but there are lots of things I’ve wanted to write about that don’t fit into the other places I usually write for.
For example, my writing journey is something I’ve always wanted to talk about. I want to share how I got to where I am so I can help other writers reach their goals. So, a lot of the content on this blog will be related to that but not exclusively that. I may also post short stories or write about fun experiences.
I wish I could tell you exactly what to expect on this blog, but my brain is always coming up with new crazy ideas to write about, so we’ll just have to wait and see. But one thing I know for sure is that almost every post will have a positive spin on it. I want my writing to help others and make them feel good, so that’s why I chose the name “Walk into the Sunshine.” Also, because it’s a lyric from one of my favorite Train songs.
As I start posting things, feel free to reach out to me to request certain topics. For example, if you have specific questions about how to work as a writer or how to get involved with dog rescue, I know a lot about those subjects, so I’ll always be happy to write an article about them or at the very least respond to your message with some advice.
